Calivan speaks to us through Nature, he is trying to comunicate with soul vibrating in harmony with the Universe to retrieve a fresh vision of life. These paintings, with their feeling of existential panic and sense of absolute mistery, fascinate and attract us. Calivan's art invites us to enter these primordial, unexplored worlds. Calivan experienced these unknown landscapes for thirty years in the heart of the Amazon. The artist gives birth to a new reality revealing its emotion in utter liberty. A secret technique bears the message of joy and anguish, hope and despair, sense of protection and banishment.
In an exhausting effort of absolute concentration, the Bible is translated and given awareness on the presence of the the spiritual, the divine.
